The
Mentor
Program
has
been
developed
by
DHS/FEMA
to
provide
assistance
to
task
forces
wishing
to
further
develop
their
canine
resources.
Each
mentor
has
been
submitted
by
their
task
force
Program
Manager
as
a
resource
capable
of
delivering
comprehensive
assistance
in
the
development
and
certification
of
canine
teams
in
the Canine Search Specialist Certification Process (CSSCP).
Assistance
in
selection
of
canine
teams,
training,
evaluation
preparation,
and
coordination
with
overall
task
force
goals
are
all
services
that
may
be
provided
by
the
mentor.
